St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School Naggalama has continued to build a reputation as one of Uganda’s top academic schools, consistently producing students who qualify for university on national merit. The school’s focus on academic performance, discipline, and high value addition means many students enter with average grades and leave among the country’s best.

This performance ranked the school among the top 15 schools overall in the country for public university admissions on merit.

The Headteacher Mrs Agnes Nantume Nsubuga credits the school’s transformation to emphasis on Prayers, academic performance, discipline, human formation, and infrastructure. The school also runs a structured Career Guidance & Counselling Department to help students make informed university and career choices.

Naggalama has shifted from being arts-based to science-oriented, attracting students aiming for professional courses in medicine, engineering, and other sciences.
